John Chrysostom — as excerpted in the Catena Aurea on John 21:1-11

Patristic A.D. 407
John Chrysostom · A.D. 347–407
“(Hom. lxxxvii) Another miracle follows: As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread. He no longer works upon already existing materials, but in a still more wonderful way; shewing that it was only in condescension1 that He wrought His miracles upon existing matter before His crucifixion.”
