Jerome, on Song 6:9

Jerome · c. A.D. 347–420
Song 6:9 · Douay-Rheims
“Who is she that cometh forth as the morning rising, fair as the moon, bright as the sun, terrible as an army set in array?”
On this verse:
“"My dove, my undefiled is but one; she is the only one of her mother, she is the choice one of her that bare her." Now the mother of whom this is said is the heavenly Jerusalem.”
