John Chrysostom — as excerpted in the Catena Aurea on Mark 4:35-41

Patristic A.D. 407
John Chrysostom · A.D. 347–407

But not yet did the disciples who remained about Him know His glory; they thought indeed that if He arose He could command the winds, but could by no means do so reposing or asleep. And therefore there follows, And they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?”
