“You have feared the sword, and I will bring the sword upon you, saith the Lord God.”
On this verse:
“You feared the sword when you turned for aid to the king of Egypt, as it is said regarding Zedekiah (17:15): “And he rebelled against him (the king of Babylon) by sending his emissaries to Egypt.””
