Eph. iii. 3. The term " receive" may be understood of the simple accept- ance of doctrine ; to learn implies study, by which the knowledge of it is acquired. The apostle insists on the revelation specially made to himself, to give his teaching more weight, he being a witness of what was so revealed to him, especially as it was contrary to his previous views and feelings.
