Behold as the eyes of the servants are on the hands of their masters, As the eyes of the handmaid are on the hands of her mistress: so are our eyes unto the Lord our God, until he have mercy on us.

H. P. " Unto the hand." The hand dispenses favors, and inflicts punishment. Servants look to their masters and mistresses with anxiety to please them, and be rewarded. We should imitate them and have the good pleasure of God constantly in view.
