Rashi · 1040–1105
Ezek 47:2 · Douay-Rheims
“And he led me out by the way of the north gate, and he caused me to turn to the way without the outward gate to the way that looked toward the east: and behold there ran out waters on the right side.”
On this verse:
“And he took me out of the Inner Court to the Outer Court through the northern gate. and led me around around the inner wall within the outer one. to the...Gate The outer [gate] that faces eastward. water was trickling [Heb. מְפַכִּים,] buient in O.F., dripping, trickling, as wide as the width of the mouth of a jug. So did our Sages explain it, as above.”
Hebrew and Aramaic words are the commentator’s citations of the sacred text; the English translation that follows each is the translator’s.
