“Ghimel. He hath built against me round about, that I may not get out: he hath made my fetters heavy.”
On this verse:
“He has fenced me in He has made a wall opposite me so that I should be imprisoned. so that I cannot get out He stationed camps and troops of soldiers lying-in-wait around me. He has made my chains heavy He made heavy fetters for my feet so that I would be unable to walk, f(i)eryes in Old French, chains.”
