Psalm 9:18 Douay-Rheims

The wicked shall be turned into hell, all the nations that forget God.

Radak

c. 1160–1235 Jewish

To judge the fatherless and the downtrodden: – And what was their prayer? (For Thee) to judge the fatherless and downtrodden. And its interpretation is: to exact their judgment from their oppressors. For No longer shall terrify – them or affright them any more man (that is) of the earth: – and they shall only be in fear of Thee. לערץ (terrify) is (here) a transitive verb, and is similarly transitive (in the passages): “when He ariseth to terrify (לערץ) the earth” (Is. 2:19); “Wilt thou harass (תערוץ) a driven leaf?” (Job 13:25).

Hebrew and Aramaic words are the commentator’s citations of the sacred text; the English translation that follows each is the translator’s.
