The negation was read by 8t. Jerome i is found in the margin of many MSS., which R. thinks is the correct reading, or at least the true meaning. Christ, according to the flesh, is servant of His Father, since He has taken on Him the form of a servant, in order to gather together the dispersed chil- dren of God.
