You have feasted upon earth: and in riotousness you have nourished your hearts, in the day of slaughter.

G. P. "Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton : ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter." This is understood of days of sacrifice, which were times of great festivity. The rich freely indulged in ban- queting.
